Who We Work With

Individuals

Everyone says their health is their most important asset, however most people don’t think about their health until they lose it. Just ask someone who has had a serious health scare or has contracted a life-limiting condition. Our team of university trained exercise physiologists is committed to ensuring you develop the knowledge, skills and lifestyle habits that give you the best possible chance of a long and healthy life.

If you have a specific health challenge we will work with you to design a targeted exercise and lifestyle program to minimise the influence of that condition on your life. With a professionally designed program, you will have the confidence that what you are doing is safe, effective and makes the best use of your time and energy.

If you enjoy good health … congratulations. But that doesn’t mean you can afford to rest on your laurels, or your youth. Developing habits now is the best defence you have against the chronic health conditions that will affect the majority of adults in Australia (unless they let us help them). Before you become a statistic, invest in a program with Exercise IQ.

We work with you to identify potential health risks, due to genetics or lifestyle, and develop strategies to address possible future health issues. This doesn’t guarantee you’ll never suffer health concerns but it does minimise your risk and maximise the likelihood of a long and healthy life.

GPs

GPs are at the coal-face of medical care and best placed to help their patients prevent a health challenge progressing into a medical condition. By referring a patient to Exercise IQ we are able to work with you and your patient to minimise the negative influence of a particular illness or condition.

A large proportion of a GP time is spent treating and managing chronic health conditions. The evidence shows that many of these cases are lifestyle related, with inadequate exercise and low fitness being significant contributors. Exercise IQ will work closely with you to educate, motivate and guide your patient to undertake the right exercise for their health and stage of life. Together we can make a significant difference to the life of your patient.

Specialists

Medical specialists work hard to help their patients overcome complex medical conditions but often the best thing their patients can do is help themselves.

At Exercise IQ we show people how to use exercise and lifestyle changes to minimise the impact of their health challenges. This not only augments the specialists treatment plan but gives the patient the best possible chance of leading as normal a life as possible, even while going through treatment.

Allied Health

We work closely with other allied health professionals to ensue your patients are doing the right exercise to compliment your treatment. Whether you are helping a patient to lose weight or manage an injured back, a professionally designed exercise program can make a significant difference. Our exercise physiologists will work with you to achieve the best outcome for your patient.

Businesses

Fit and healthy employees are more productive, take less sick leave and are more likely to stay with your organisation. An investment in the health of an employee will be one of the best investments you can make in them; especially if they are a key member of your team.

If an employee has a specific health challenge, we will work with them to make sure it has the minimum impact on their work performance and that they know how to manage it as best as possible.

If you have a worker with a demanding lifestyle due to work, family and time commitments, we will help them develop a program that maximises their health and fitness given the constraints they have. Our expert advice will ensure they have the best return on their precious time.

Staff who travel extensively or work FIFO arrangements have extraordinary challenges balancing their home and work routines. This often plays havoc with their internal chemistry and physiology. We work specifically with FIFO staff and those with travel commitments to teach them how to use exercise as a management strategy to stay as healthy, productive and mentally strong as possible.
